Sunday in the Hood

With his right hand, a young boy pours maple syrup over a pancake; the left waves a piece of sausage semi-rhythmically in the air as the syrup hits his plate.  Across the table sits his Dad, an orange peel obscuring his teeth and forming a brilliant orange smile as he eagerly consumes the fruit that garnishes his breakfast plate...
